To all of our racers, welcome back, to all of you can-be racers, we want you to come out and join us.
The Monday Night Racing Series is for intermediate skiers from 18 to 75+.
It is one of the most enjoyable on snow programs of the Ski Council and Hamden has been racing for over 30 years.
For the last two seasons our racers have enjoyed pizza after our runs down the mountain.
We invite all of you to join our enthusiastic team, we need more fast and slow skiers, men and women, grunters and screamers, young and old to help win points in the league competition.
Last season several of our racers took fastest honors in their age brackets, and almost all of our team members scored points for the team. We even have second generation family members racing.
The race series is a competition among the CSC Clubs with racers earning points for their team. This year there are new age brackets and each racer will earn a minimum of two points for our team with just one completed run.
You don't have to be a hot shot - just a steady skier, who likes pizza.
We expect this season to kick off on Monday December 10th & 17th, at Mt Southington and continue thru February 18th.
Registration starts at 6:00 PM thru 7:30 PM, you must show your club membership card.
At 7:30 PM the starting bib numbers are chosen and the race begins at 7:45 PM.
The Connecticut Ski Council averages between 115 to 180 men and women per race from all participating clubs.
If you want to come out and just ski and see the show you can buy a discounted lift ticket, at the race registration desk.
Mt. Southington also has a great beginners area for children that's served by it's own lift.
Last May, at our re-instituted Annual Ski Club Banquet, members of our race team received their new race team hats. These women, men and junior racers had raced a minimum of 3 races during the Monday Night series and during the On Snow weekend last March.
We encourage you to race. The Hamden Ski Club will reimburse your total Racing Fees for the season if you participate in three or more races during the eight race season. What a deal!!
